How can we help?
Step-by-step help for buying, selling your own car and listing your dealership's cars. For quick answers, see the FAQ.
Buying a car
Finding cars
- Search by make, model or keywords in the search bar at the top of every page. Add your ZIP code to see how far each car is and to search within a distance.
- Narrow the results with filters such as price, year, mileage, body type, transmission, drivetrain, title and seller (dealerships or private sellers).
- Great deals shows the cars priced well below similar cars on CARZyro. How deal ratings work
- The budget calculator turns the monthly payment you can afford into a car price and searches up to it. Each car also shows an estimated monthly payment, with its terms. How the estimate works
Checking a car
- Each car page shows the photos, details, the seller, and what CARZyro checked: Verified dealer for dealerships, Listing reviewed by CARZyro for private sellers. What we check
- Dealerships have star ratings and reviews from buyers who contacted them through CARZyro.
- CARZyro doesn't inspect cars. What to check before you buy
Saving and comparing
- Tap the heart to save a car, and Save this search to keep a search. Your saved cars and searches are on the Saved cars & searches page.
- With an account and a confirmed email, we email you about new cars matching a saved search and price drops on saved cars. More about alerts
- Press Compare on two cars, then Compare now, to see them side by side on the Compare page.
Contacting a seller
- Open the car and press Contact dealer (or Contact seller).
- Signed in, “Is it still available?” sends in one click. Without an account, enter your name and email; the first time, we email you a 6-digit code to confirm it.
- The seller gets your message by email and replies to you directly. More about contacting sellers
Chat messages in Messages are normally kept for 3 months; longer if needed for a report or dispute. Who can read them
Reporting a listing
- Something wrong with a car or a dealership (a scam, a car that's already sold, wrong details)? Press Report this listing on the car's page, or Report this dealership on the dealer's page.
- Choose what's wrong and add details. Without an account, give your email address and pass the “I'm human” check. You can have one open report per car or dealership.
- Our team reviews it, may hide the car while we look into it, and may email you. The seller isn't told who reported them. What happens next
Selling your car
- Create a free account and confirm your email.
- On Sell my car, save a card for the listing fee (it isn't charged until the free period ends), then add your car's details, price and photos.
- A member of the CARZyro team reviews the listing before it goes live, and we email you when it's approved.
- Buyers' messages arrive by email. When the car sells, mark it sold on Sell my car to stop the monthly fee.
- Not approved? Sell my car shows the reason, such as “This car is already listed on CARZyro.” All the reasons
- A car that says Hidden while CARZyro reviews a report is hidden from buyers while our team looks into a report, and its monthly fee is paused meanwhile. More about holds
The first month is free, then $100, $200 or $300 a month depending on the car's price. Full pricing
For dealers
The Dealer help center has step-by-step answers for every part of the dealer dashboard. Here is a short overview.
Getting started
- Sign up your dealership on one page (no card needed): enter your details, type the 6-digit code we email you, then review and sign the Inventory Listing Authorization. If someone else signs for the dealership, you can sign later from your dashboard; you can't add cars until it's signed.
- Your dashboard shows a Getting started checklist with what's done and what to do next.
- A member of the CARZyro team calls your dealership's phone number to verify it and checks your dealer license, then approves your dealership, usually within 1 business day. You can add your cars and preview your dealer page meanwhile; they go live and your 3 months free start the day you're approved.

Your dealer dashboard
- Add and edit your cars one at a time with photos, or many at once with a CSV file, and mark them sold when they sell. A VIN is needed for cars from 1981 on, and prices are whole dollars from $100 to $2,000,000.
- The inventory list has search, filters and pages. Select cars (up to 500 at a time) to mark them sold, change their price or remove them; removing asks for your password again. Sold cars are under Status: Sold.
- Export CSV downloads your cars as a spreadsheet. You can edit it in Excel and import it again to update them. Everyone on your team who can see the cars can export, including Sales.
- A dealership can have up to 500 cars for sale at once; contact CARZyro support if you need more.
- CARZyro can keep your cars in step with your own website: ask our team to connect it, and it is checked every 6 hours (how it works). If your website blocks automatic reading, use an inventory feed from your dealer software instead.
- The car form shows a market range for similar cars on CARZyro (low, typical and high), a suggested price and the car's price history. The inventory list shows whether each price is in that range, and Priced above market lists the cars above it. How the market range works
- Buyer inquiries and chat messages arrive in the dashboard and by email. Chat messages are normally kept for 3 months; longer if needed for a report or dispute.
- A car that says Hidden while CARZyro reviews a report in your inventory list is hidden from buyers while our team looks into a report about it; nothing else changes. More about holds
- Performance shows how often your cars appear in search and are clicked, car-page views, phone taps, website clicks and leads, next to the period before. You can switch on a weekly email with these numbers. More about Performance
- Reports include inventory aging, price changes, sales, leads by team member and reviews, as CSV files too. The owner and managers can have them emailed every week or month. Which reports
- Add team members with their own sign-in and a role (Manager, Sales or Inventory). Roles are starting points: the owner can tick or untick single permissions for each person. A team can have up to 10 people; contact CARZyro Support to raise it. Roles and permissions
- The Activity log shows who on your team did what, and when, with filters and a CSV export (the owner and managers). More about the activity log
- Buy or cancel your monthly subscription in the Account section. Subscribing during your free months doesn't end them: the first charge is the day they end (or the day you subscribe, if they end within 48 hours).
- To update your card, download receipts or change your billing email, go to Account > Manage card, receipts & billing email (the dealership's owner only).
- Reply to reviews of your dealership, or report a review that breaks the review guidelines. You can also ask a buyer who contacted you through CARZyro, once, for an honest review; CARZyro sends the email.
- Optional: feature a car in the Featured carousel at the top of CARZyro.
- Questions or problems: open a ticket in the dashboard's Support section, and we email you when we reply.
